ISLAMABAD: A man was murdered during a robbery in the capital, police said on Thursday.
The victim was identified as M. Bilal, 25, a native of Gujrat, the police said, adding that two gunmen intercepted and held him up at gunpoint at Service Road while he was on his way to Katarian.
The suspects snatched a mobile phone and wallet from him, they said, adding that Bilal put up resistance against them which annoyed the robbers and one of them opened fire at him.
As a result, he sustained a bullet injury on his chest, the police said, adding that shortly afterwards, he died.
