MUZAFFARGARH: The servant of the former city nazim Mian Muhammed Hussain alias Munna Sheikh turned out to be his killer
Civil Line SHO Rana Kamran detained the murder victim’s servant, Muhammad Waqas (28) who confessed to his crime.
The police quoted the suspect saying that Sheikh would always abuse and torture him.
He said he killed Sheikh with an axe five days ago, locked the body in the outhouse, threw the key into a drain and escaped.
Sheikh was missing for many days and his body was found on Friday after the people felt foul smell coming out of the outhouse.
His family broke the lock and found the body packed in blankets with two mobile phones lying by its side.
SDPO Rehan Rasool and his team arrested Waqas and started investigation Mian Munna Sheikh belonged to an influential family and remained the city Nazim.
