Syrian actress Rana Al-Abyad has revealed her talent of imitating veteran Mona Wassef in 2020 during the Christmas evening special on Syria TV, along with fellow actors Milad Youssef and Lojain Ismail.
Rana perfectly copied Wassef’s voice and gestures prompting the host to say that if she wasn’t seeing Rana she would definitely think that Mona Wassef herself is speaking.
Al-Abyad said one of Mona’s famous lines “I am the Syrian oak”, adding that she’s been privately practicing the imitation of Mona since the 80’s, and this is the first time she ever publicly share it with the audience.
At the end of the sketch, Al-Abyad joked that Mona will smack her for copying her voice.
